This course allows you to master the basics of modern calligraphy through monthly lessons and corrections with Misaki Ando, ​​a calligrapher certified by the Japan Modern Calligraphy Association, for six months. You will review the content of each lesson, and any corrections you submit will be returned to you with advice.

This is a Japan Modern Calligraphy Association certified course. The lesson will be based on Maki Shimano's Shirahana characters.
Students who have completed this Basic course and submitted their corrected assignments will be eligible to advance to the Advanced course, which is scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Those who complete the Advanced course will be certified as a "Junior Scritier" by the Japan Modern Calligraphy Association.

In 2020, during her third parental leave, she discovered calligraphy, wanting to utilize the calligraphy skills she had acquired over the course of 13 years.
Completed Maki Shimano's Modern Calligraphy Regular Course in Tokyo in December 2021
In May 2022, he passed the Scrittier exam of the Japan Modern Calligraphy Association and became a Scrittier certified member.
Since 2021, she has been based in Saitama and runs a calligraphy studio. Utilizing her experience in the bridal industry and creative work, she combines graphic design and calligraphy to support PR activities for sole proprietors and corporations. Her unique style is characterized by her classic lettering and energetic one-of-a-kind style.
