[DAIKANYAMA drawing] Kazuko Sakuma - Let's draw animals with pen and ink from photographs - October 20 & 22

This is a workshop led by Kazuko Sakuma, the stationery concierge at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books.

Participants will draw animal pen sketches while learning about important points to consider when drawing from reference photos.
We will use provided reference photos for instruction, and with any remaining time, participants will draw their own desired motifs.
For tools, please bring your usual implements, such as a pencil for sketching and a fountain pen or dip pen for inking.

・Document summarizing important points for drawing from photos
・Drawing paper

【What to Bring】
・Pencil or mechanical pencil
・Eraser
・Your usual pens (fountain pen, dip pen, technical pen, ballpoint pen, etc. For fountain pens, a fine nib is recommended; for technical pens and ballpoint pens, 0.7mm or finer is recommended.)
・Photos of animals you'd like to draw (smartphone data is acceptable)
・Bag to take home materials

Kazuko Sakuma Profile

Stationery Concierge
After graduating from art school, gaining experience as an illustrator and painting instructor, she became involved in the stationery store business. Since 2011, she has worked as a stationery concierge at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books, while also managing the SNS for the same floor. Since 2014, she has posted a handwritten birthday card daily.
In addition to drawing with fountain pens, she also creates oil paintings, cherishing "drawing by hand" and depicting familiar motifs and animals.
