[Chihiro x Paper Tree] iPad Digital Illustration Basic Lesson September 2026 - February 2027

This is an illustration lesson taught by artist Chihiro Kitamura, held once a month, where you can learn from the basics of drawing on an iPad with Procreate.

It's a 6-session course where you will eventually complete an original postcard using a motif of your own choosing.
In this lesson, you will learn the basics of Procreate, how to interpret shapes when drawing, how to color, and tips for making your illustrations look stylish.

Brushes are crucial for creating stylish drawings, and for this course, we have prepared "original brushes." So even if you're new to drawing with Procreate, please feel free to join us.

【Curriculum】
Session 1: Basic usage of Procreate + basics of drawing three-dimensional illustrations
Session 2: Learning various coloring techniques
Session 3: Drawing from photos & learning about copyrights
Session 4: Drawing a table setting
Session 5: Drawing the upper body of a person
Session 6: Creating a design for an original postcard

【What to bring】iPad, Apple Pencil
*Please ensure Procreate (paid software) is installed on your iPad beforehand.
*Please make sure your Procreate app has its default brushes installed. (Please do not uninstall the default brushes.)
*Please note that Procreate may not be installable depending on your iPad's version.
*Please bring an Apple-branded Apple Pencil compatible with your iPad. Also, pens that are genuine Apple products but do not support pressure control (e.g., Apple Pencil USB-C) cannot be used in this lesson.

*We do not provide iPads or Apple Pencils for rental. Please bring yours fully charged.

Chihiro Kitamura Profile

Based in Tokyo.
After graduating from art school, working as a fashion designer and graphic designer, she started drawing illustrations in 2021 and began her career as a freelance artist.
With the concept of "art by your side," she specializes in stylish illustrations.
Her main works include live painting events, logo design, and collaborations with apparel brands, working in a wide range of fields.
