Saito Misono [Calligraphy Class] June - November 2026 (Available Class: Thursday AM Class)

This is the new application page for Ms. Misono Saito's Calligraphy Class, running from June to November 2026.

Currently, the Thursday AM class is the only one available.
If there are open seats due to absences, transfers to other classes are also accepted.

【Content】
Calligraphy lessons (brush, fine-tipped brush, Kana) include one in-person lesson per month and one correspondence correction, with lessons based on three types of mẫu works written by Ms. Misono each month.
To provide appropriate guidance tailored to each student's level, this class adopts the dan/kyu system of the Toyo Shodo Geijutsu Gakkai, a calligraphy association to which Ms. Misono belongs.
Students can aim for master certification, starting from 10th kyu.

Brush Calligraphy: 4-6 characters on paper (large brush)
Kana: Writing hiragana and their original hentai kana with a fine-tipped brush
Penmanship: Ballpoint pen calligraphy

【What to Bring】
A complete set of calligraphy tools (large brush, fine-tipped brush, hanshi paper, sumi ink, paperweight, inkstone, underlay, brush roll), penmanship paper, water-based ballpoint pen.
*If you wish to purchase a complete set of calligraphy tools selected by Ms. Misono (tax included: 9,500 yen), please contact lesson@papertree.jp after applying for the lesson. If you have your own tools, you do not need to purchase new ones.
*Hanshi paper and penmanship paper can also be purchased on the day.

【Schedule】*Currently, only the Thursday AM class is open for applications.
Six-month course (payments every 5 months), with August and December off.

Thursday Class (AM/PM): 6/25, 7/23, 9/24, 10/22, 11/26
Sunday Class (AM/PM): 6/28・7/26・9/27・10/25・11/22
Morning class: 10:30-12:30 / Afternoon class: 14:00-16:00

【Fee】7,500 yen x 5 months (excluding tax)
　　　In addition to the above, the following fees apply:
　　　・Standard penmanship paper: 380 yen
　　　・Promotion exams (3 times a year: April, July, October) *Optional

Misono Saito Profile

Her work is writing and teaching beautiful characters. She is the principal of Misono Calligraphy School. Having been familiar with calligraphy since childhood, she lives by the motto "writing characters neatly and beautifully is the same as grooming oneself," and strives daily to explain how to achieve personal beautiful handwriting in an easy-to-understand manner.
Her books include "The Magic Practice Book You Can Use Repeatedly! Penmanship Lessons to Achieve Beloved Beautiful Handwriting" (MDN Corporation).
