Returns/Exchanges
This is a collaboration kit between Paper Tree and calligrapher Maki Shimano.
This starter kit includes calligraphy items recommended by Paper Tree so that even those who are holding a pen for the first time can enjoy it.
Higgins ink is recommended for practice, has a smooth writing feel, and can be used as is without dilution.
It comes with three of our popular nibs, so you can compare them and find the writing feel that suits you best. Please store it in the included nib case.
For pen holders, we offer Manuscript's straight/oblique holder, which can be used as a straight holder by removing the flange (metal fitting).
Two types of practice paper are included. We recommend the guide sheet for regular practice and the plain Tomoeriver for copying examples.
Maki Shimano's new book, "Calligraphy Book/Modern Calligraphy & Handwriting," provides detailed explanations on how to handle and hold a pen holder so that even beginners can enjoy calligraphy.

We charge 800 yen for each delivery (Hokkaido/Kyushu 1,200 yen, Chugoku/Shikoku 1,000 yen, Okinawa 1,500 yen).
*Shipping fee is free if the total amount of ordered items is 8,800 yen or more. (Except International Shipping)
Return deadline/conditions
We will accept returns within 7 days from the date of delivery of the product.
Please note that after this time, we will no longer be able to accept requests for returns or exchanges.
We also accept returns depending on the customer's convenience. (Only in the following cases)
- Excludes unopened/unused products, personal orders/sale products - Please contact us by email within 5 days after receiving the product.
Return shipping fee
Please note that in the case of a return due to the customer's convenience, the transfer fee and shipping fee will be borne by the customer.
We will pay for replacement of defective products and replacement of incorrectly delivered products.
