Special Lesson | Dao Huy Hoang's Japan Lesson 10/17 & 10/19 Applications Open

We will begin accepting applications for a special lesson with Day Huy Hoang from 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 11th .
The recruitment will begin as follows:

Modern Raised Gilding – Illuminated Letter 10/17
In this workshop you will learn how to create a modern raised gilding technique using Kolner's Instacoll to create William Morris's Acanthus motif.
This lesson involves following the steps to actually create a piece of art, from preparing the base to applying Instacol, a high-gloss finish, and applying real gold leaf.

[Online Lesson] Modern Raised Gilding – Illuminated Letter Demonstration 10/19
For those who cannot attend the in-person lesson, we recommend the online demonstration to be held on the evening of October 19th.
Due to time constraints, we will not be able to create a piece together, but this is a lesson where you will be able to watch the archives, so you will be able to experience gilding using the materials at your own pace.

Cancellaresca Corsiva – Renaissance Italic Script 10/19
Cancellaresca Corsiva (also known as Chancery Cursive/Italic Corsiva) developed in Rome in the 15th and 16th centuries.
In this lesson, you will learn the distinctive letter shapes, rhythms, and spacing through demonstrations and practical exercises.

We look forward to your participation!
